Hack Your Kid’s YouTube Feed with Python — Smarter Screen Time Starts Here! 🧠💡

✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸, 𝗜 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 — 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝗸𝗶𝗱! 🎉

Until now, most of my projects were focused on learning and health insights. But this time, I wanted to create something useful for my 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 — especially for my little one who loves watching YouTube videos.

As a parent, I often wish his screen time included more educational content. But let’s be honest — kids can get really upset when we try to force them to watch something they don’t want to. ⚡

So instead of controlling his choices directly, I thought — why not control what appears on YouTube in the first place?

🧠 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻:
A personalized recommendation system that:

• Filters videos based on age group
• Focuses on specific topics like Science, Math, or Geography
• Uses only Python and the YouTube Data API
• Runs seamlessly on Google Colab
• Saves results directly to GitHub

💡 No heavy ML libraries, no frameworks — just a clean, simple, functional solution.

📌 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?
I’m now working on integrating this with an agent-based system that can:
• Dynamically query the YouTube API
• Automatically adapt recommendations based on a child’s age and interests

Imagine an intelligent assistant that evolves recommendations as your child grows!

Here’s the GitHub repo if you’re curious:
